Accessibility at CarTour
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website and the CarTour app. This page describes where that stands today rather than claiming a finished result.
What we’ve built
- Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard, and the focus ring is visible against every background on the site.
- A “skip to content” link on every page, so keyboard users are not forced through the navigation on each load.
prefers-reduced-motionis honoured. The scroll-linked sequence on the homepage is replaced with a static composition, and nothing animates. The page keeps its meaning with every animation switched off.- Status is never carried by colour alone — every status badge in the dealer dashboard contains a word as well as a colour.
- Form fields have real labels, errors are linked to their inputs with
aria-describedby, and invalid fields are marked witharia-invalidso they are announced rather than only shown in red. - Text and interface colours are drawn from a palette checked for contrast on the dark background this site uses throughout.
Known gaps
- The site has not yet been tested end to end with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily. Automated checks are not a substitute for that, and we have not done it yet.
- The dealer dashboard’s data tables shed columns on smaller screens. That behaviour has not been verified at high browser zoom.
- Analytics charts do not yet have text or table alternatives.
Telling us about a problem
If something on this site gets in your way, we want to hear about it — a specific description of what you were doing and what happened is more useful to us than a general report. Get in touch and we will come back to you.
